Don't Stop

I didn’t need anybody’s help.

The day I quit my job everyone told me it was a terrible idea. I was ready for a change and determined to do it on my own. Then my brother asked his best friend to keep an eye on me. I didn’t need a babysitter, but he wasn’t going to leave me alone. Drake was persistent, but so was I. And I wouldn’t stop until I succeeded.

I liked to keep to myself. Life was simpler that way. That was until my best friend told me to keep an eye on his younger sister. She insisted she could take care of herself, but for some reason, I couldn’t stay away. When she was threatened, I promised to do anything to protect her, and I meant it.

She didn’t want my help, but I couldn’t stop once I’d started.
